Fall Harvest Beef Share Guide

Bulk Beef

We are in the middle of our Fall Harvest and are incredibly excited to share our peak-of-the-season grass-fed beef with you!

This is the best time of the year to stock your freezer with our incredible grass-fed & finished beef. The cattle are the healthiest and fattest they've been all year. A long Spring & Summer of grazing lush green pastures does wonders.

How it works...

Step 1. You choose the size of your Beef Share and pay your deposit + shipping.
Step 2. We will go out in the pasture and select the healthiest and largest steer of the herd.

Step 3. We will have our expert USDA butcher process your beef and dry age it to maximize flavor and tenderness. It will then be cut into conveniently sized steaks and roasts and then vacuum sealed and frozen.

Step 4. Once your beef is ready, we will send you an invoice for the rest of the payment.

Step 5. If you ordered a 1/4 Beef Share, we will have your free freezer sent to your home.

Step 6. Once your freezer is set up and running, we will ship your beef share to your home. Your beef will arrive fully frozen.

During this process we will keep you fully informed and updated. No surprises!

Frequently Asked Questions

Is your beef grass-fed AND grass-finished?

Yes!

What freezer will I need?

It depends on the size of the beef share you order.

If you choose a 1/4 Beef Share we will send you a free freezer! It will be perfectly sized to hold the beef share you ordered. Pictured below is the exact freezer you will receive when you order a 1/4 Beef Share. It's the same one our family uses.

What are the shipping costs?

The shipping costs are dependent upon the state you live in. You will see the shipping cost before you place your deposit. The closer you live to our ranch in Texas the cheaper it will be.

What's so special about buying bulk beef in the fall?

Fall Harvests have been a huge deal for as long as humans have produced food. Our beef is amazing all year round, but it reaches peak quality this time of year. After a long spring & summer of "finishing" on lush green pastures, our cattle are the biggest and healthiest they will be all year. That's why right now is the best time to stock your freezer for the year!

Where are your cattle processed?

We get our beef processed at Dean & Peeler Meatworks in Poth, TX. They are a small USDA inspected facility that does an incredible job. What most impresses us is the cleanliness of the workspace and the professional folks who process our cattle.

Do you give your cattle antibiotics, hormones or anything else like that?

Nope! They are already healthy and don't need them.

How can you ensure my beef share arrives frozen? What if the shipping gets delayed?

We pack your order with lots of dry ice and an insulated liner to ensure it arrives on your doorstep frozen. We ship all of our orders via UPS which is extremely reliable. In the very rare chance your order is delayed and thaws out, we will refund you entirely. There is no risk!

Here's what he had to say... "We just received our order yesterday and couldn't be happier. I can't recommend Cosgray enough, and will be talking about y'all any chance that I get!"

Is your beef dry-aged?

Your beef will be dry-aged for 7-9 days to increase tenderness and flavor. We have found this to be the optimal time for our grass-fed beef.

How long will my beef last in the freezer?

Our beef is vacuum-sealed to ensure it maintains quality for quite some time. It will stay good for well over a year. We recommend eating it within 6 months for optimal quality.
